+ I" U' C* v9 {/ i; o3 Q" p; v% k. E' nI Disagree is Poppy’s third studio album, released on January 10, 2020. It is her first album to be distributed via Sumerian Records. The album marks a drastic shift in sound for the singer, being primarily a heavy metal album in contrast to her previous pop releases, though Poppy labels this new sound as “post-genre”. Poppy had dabbled in heavy metal for her previous album Am I a Girl?, as well as her Choke EP, but this album sees her taking on metal for an entire album rather than individual songs.

The album is also the last Poppy release to feature involvement from Titanic Sinclair, her collaborative partner since the beginning of the Poppy project. Their split was announced publicly via a statement released by Poppy on social media.
