Fall out boy是来自芝加哥的一个乐队，组建于2001年，曾获格莱美提名。充满年轻活力朝气，畅快将庞克的不羁气焰完全释放，些许EMO风格夹带流畅声线， Fall Out Boy虽然和时下偶像团体般，在团名中加入个"Boy"字眼，但是，他们可完全不按牌理出牌，踢爆时下做作男孩偶像团体的面具，给你最热血的新世代之音！

来自芝加哥的Fall Out Boy，却是在全美地下Hardcore乐界，窜升最快的一组抢眼年轻部队。由主唱/吉他手Patrick Stump、吉他手Joseph Trohman、贝斯手Peter Wentz及鼓手Andrew Hurley四人在2000年组织而成，夹带Metal-Core、Hardcore Punk等劲道，不时点缀出的流行音韵，都让Fall Out Boy的歌曲朗朗上口容易消化，充满旺盛精力所演出的舞台效果，皆是令台下乐迷为之疯狂的诱因。2001年自资发行DEMO带，引起广泛讨论，隔年偕同独立Emo乐团Project Rocket合力发行专辑，这时独立厂牌的兴趣随即蜂拥而至，2003年AMG送上四星半近满分专辑『Take This To Your Grave』，无强大宣传后盾下，狂销20余万的惊人数字，对Fall Out Boy而言，可是莫大鼓舞，很快的主流大厂纷纷丢出善意合作计画，几经评估花落环球音乐旗下名厂Island，日后大大小小的庞克音乐盛会上，都可看到Fall Out Boy身影，终於苦尽甘来的将他们音乐版图扩展至放眼国际！ 2001年，乐队发行了首张专辑《Fall Out Boy's Evening Out With Your Girl》。2002年，他们与另外一支EMO团体“Project Rocket”发表了一张合辑，之后很多独立厂牌都争先恐后地想要签下Fall Out Boy，他们最终选择了拉蒙的纵火唱片。 2003年，乐队的第二张专辑《Take This To Your Grave》发行，不但AMG网站给了这张专辑四星半的高分评价，没有费心宣传，这张专辑便创下20多万的惊人销量。此后Fall Out Boy开始被很多主流大厂所关注，而环球音乐旗下的名厂小岛唱片公司则成了乐队的新东家。 最近在美国公告牌排行榜(Billboard)上，他们有一首单曲《Sugar,We’re Goin Down》持续21周称霸单曲榜前10名，而他们的专辑《From Under The Cork Tree》也在专辑榜的前20名停留4个月之久。唱片公司请来了从重金属、另类摇滚、朋克等领域都赫赫有名的幕后高手尼尔·阿福隆(Neal Avron)主理，之前与威瑟(Weezer)、优质果冻(Good Charlotte)等乐队都与他有过合作，阿福隆的加入再加上乐队两位主将—吉他手/主唱帕特里克(Patrick)和贝司手彼德(Peter)谱写出的一首又一首狂暴而又不失旋律的歌曲，使《From Under The Cork Tree》成为Fall Out Boy所有唱片中制作最为精良的一张，极具可听性。尽管这支团体的队名里有男孩(Boy)一词，他们并不是一支偶像团体，他们是一支实力的情绪硬核(EMO)乐队。* m7 Z7 s$ c* k
