Enigma简介" ]/ V+ k. V- y& t0 G/ t( h! v
Enigma这支来自德国的乐队，或多或少你都应该有所耳闻。他们是早期准许引进大陆的国外音乐之 一。从1996年的美国亚特兰大奥运会宣传片的主题曲Return To Innocence（返璞归真）一定给大家留下 了不少深刻的印象。

音乐风格

B) \# Q4 S制作人Michael Cretu曾经道出过其中的玄机，事实上Michael Cretu一直想走出欧洲传统流行音乐的束缚，他所钟爱的音乐风格偏向于Pink Floyd和Yes，但这类非主流音乐类型在日益商业化的市场中已经越来越难听得到。Michael Cretu便开始朝着自己理想的王国迈进，自己写作，并且在不少作品中动用了两种非常奇特而且不为世人熟知的声音——秘鲁风格的排萧和由修道士演唱的类似格里高里圣歌风格的旋律，编曲上再衬以洒脱、懒散的Disco节奏，由此构成了Enigma极富个性的基本框架。因此在Michael Cretu所营造的独特音乐世界中，我们即可以隐约感受到古典严肃音乐的影子，又可以直接感受到通俗流行的电子配器；能听到最悠远的少数民族部落自由而悠长的吟唱，又能够欣赏到教堂唱诗班庄严而宏大的和声。也因为这些，Michael Cretu拒绝掌声和荣誉以及别人给Enigma“定制”的风格上的定义。

发展历程
0 ~) a- l. i: c& Q, X1990年10月， Enigma 的首支单曲 “Sadeness Part I” 首先推出，这首歌成为他们最著名的热门单曲。紧接着推出的个人专辑《MCMXC a.D》（公元前2000年）成为德国有史以来卖的最好的专辑，一共销售了1200万张，在41个国家登上了专辑排行榜冠军，并且在美国排行榜200名中停留了5年之久。在90年代流行音乐稳步前进的时候，谁也没想到 Enigma 居然没有追随标准成功的流行规则，而是运用了笛子和中世纪的圣歌的咏唱和电吉它、铜管等现代乐器，传达着现代人的气息、情感和能量。) ^: o. C' q* Q
在1991年的时候，《MCMXC a.D》推出一个限量版本，增加了4首曲目，不过都是在原来专辑歌曲的基础上重新相互混音乐并延长而成，所以这张唱片从开头到结尾都有一气呵成的感觉。限量版唱片的封面设计与原先几乎完全相同，但是用一种灰暗色的绿背景代替了原来的黑色。总的来说，《MCMXC a.D》是90年代流行音乐史上的一张杰作，它的音乐具有高度的独创性且一次次地营造了一种独一无二的氛围。到目前为止，这种声音和氛围只有被另一位艺术家成功地模仿并改进过，就是 Delerium 和他们的专辑《Semantic Spaces》，而大多数人尝试这样的音乐都失败了。2年后他开始为电影《Sliver》（银色）作电影原声碟。

在《The Cross of Changes》中诞生了2首热门歌曲：“The Eyes Of Truth“（真理的眼睛）和 “Return to Innocence “（回到纯真）。特别是 “The Eyes Of Truth“ 涉及到更多交响乐的成分，它明显倾向于带有现代节奏的的拉普人圣歌的歌曲结构。作为一种合唱，这首歌使人感到幸福和愉快，其中的一个理由是 Enigma 已经将兴趣的触角伸到古老的北欧音乐文化。拉普人就是生活在瑞典、挪威、芬兰和俄罗斯北部的居民。这首歌曲音乐录音带的成功更使用得它成为世界范围内的一首热门单曲。
