乐队历史

) F4 g  l* N) \5 d, g3 y8 D  U' p( Q/ m该乐队的首张精选集（非正式录音室专辑）于2003年发售，精选了该乐队《Fly from the Inside》、《Burning Bright》、《45》，以及为林纳史金纳合唱团创作的《Simple Man》等优秀歌曲。
2005年，乐队大量发行了一张现场演唱会的DVD，同时还包含了关于演唱会幕后工作的片段，而演唱会录像部分主要来源于“Leave a Whisper”（首张专辑）巡回演唱会的最后一站。
2005-2007
首张专辑以及其同名巡回演出大获成功后，乐队在2005年返回录音棚录制第二张专辑。并于同年10月4日定名为《Us and Them》，包含了三首热门单曲——《Save Me》、《I Dare You》以及《Heroes》。其中《Save Me》在美国公告板活跃摇滚排行榜上连续12周保持领衔位置，创下该乐队的历史记录。其他两首单曲也有相似的成就，而美国偶像Chris Daughtry演绎的《I Dare You》成为了WWE旗下PPV节目WrestleMania 22的次要主题曲。
专辑有三种版本：有13首歌曲的常规版、附带三首试音歌曲的限量版以及有两首附带歌曲《Break》和《Carried Away》的特定销售版。专辑发行后，乐队随Seether、Flyleaf以及Halestorm参加了SnoCore乐队2007年巡演出。随后又参加了Trapt乐队的昼夜平分点（春分）演唱会。2006年6月6日，他们在伦敦阿斯托利亚酒店举办了首场海外演唱会，Alter Bridge在演唱会上担任嘉宾。2006年夏季，他们连同Godsmack和Rob Zombie开始北美巡回演出，并很好地结束了此次巡演。

0 S4 V  G( o, m2009年11月18日，名为《The Sight of Madness》的首张视频专辑正式发布，该专辑收录了乐队的歌曲MV，以及2009年在佐治亚州亚特兰大帐幕的举办演唱会视频。这张专辑仅在iTunes发布。12月18日，单曲《The Second Time》的MV在VH1 2009年四十大MV排行榜中位列第七，榜上有名的歌曲都出现在持续了20个星期的倒数节目中，乐队其他来自本专辑的上榜的单曲有《If You Only Knew》以及《The Crow&the Butterfly》。乐队在2009年因单曲《Second Change》风靡电台，在全美音乐奖中荣获“另类摇滚”组别的提名，但最终无功而返。

* K+ X' F2 M3 f/ l2011年2月21日，通过在其官网的视频通话方式，乐队宣布演唱会最新的演唱会歌曲DVD名字为《Somewhere in the Stratosphere》，取名于歌曲《Second Chance》的歌词。同年3月8日，他们宣布这张专辑将是双CD/双DVD形式，在5月3日正式发售，包括“Carnival of Madness"以及"Anything and Everything"系列巡演的录像、后台花絮、采访和其他材料。专辑最终如期发售。

" c! r5 ~0 A) l; v7 |% F2011年8月16日，乐队宣布开始在海岸公路录音棚为专辑录制素材，在前张专辑《The Sound of Madness》中为乐队工作格莱美奖制作人Rob Cavallo，继续担任本专辑制作。同年12月15日，Rob Cavallo宣布Shinedown将在2012年1月3日计划发布他们的首张单曲专辑《Bully》。
( @! O  ]8 U* |" }6 u- G+ W2012年1月3日，专辑正式发售，乐队宣布他们的新专辑题为《Amaryllis》，将在3月27日发售，1月17日开始可以进行预约。翌日，乐队被证实入主Roadrunner唱片公司，负责唱片在全球发行的工作，而在美国本土发行的专辑依然被标上Atlantic的厂牌。在电影《复仇者联盟》中，歌曲“I’m Alive”作为背景音乐，并在5月1日的官方原声带中发布。同年7月17日，新专辑单曲《Enemies》的MV正式发布。
$ s- M0 r" T: h9 b0 K. Z' Q2012年11月7日，主唱Brent Smith在接受NME采访时宣布新专辑的录制工作已经完成，他表示：“专辑称得上强大，总体上会有史诗般的感觉，但节奏有点舒缓，和歌曲本身的题材有一定偏差，实际上是有点阴暗，略带几分调皮。”随后，在记者的采访中被证实，他们所讨论的只不过是专辑中的歌曲，但专辑本身并未开始制作。

Shinedown近日宣布，他们正在录音棚中录制十首翻唱歌曲，并在十天内宣布从歌迷的推荐中所选择的歌曲。乐队首先将在歌迷推荐的材料中精心细选十首，然后进行分组进行两两对决。乐队同时还将支持美国摇滚乐队Alter Bridge2013年的欧洲巡演，期间贝斯手埃里克·巴斯在台上扭伤踝关节，但依然坚持演出[2]  。然而其中一些音乐家，诸如Adele、Phil Collins、Pearl Jam和Bon Jovi不同意释放其作品，因此在2014年1月28日EP被发行前，歌曲减少到6首，被省略的歌曲收录只2014年3月18日发布的EP2中。
